James Edmond Watson, 81, of Taylorville, IL, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Taylorville Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.
James was born on October 30, 1943, the son of Henry Edmond and Addie Rae (Hayes) Watson. He married Sue Ellen Gensler. She preceded him in death in 2007.
Surviving is his daughter, Stacey Watson-Neece of Springfield; his granddaughter, Kaylan Hawkins of Springfield; a brother, Charles (Sandy) Watson of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sue; a son, Chad David Watson; four brothers, Bobby J. Watson, Howard T. Watson, Michael D. Watson, and Donald O. Watson; and a sister, Golden A. Watson.
James was a strong dedicated man that always enjoyed time with his family. During his free time, he enjoyed puzzles and reading. He will be dearly missed.
Per Jame's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be held at a later date.
