William Dale White, 84, of Springfield, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at his residence. He was born on October 19, 1940, in Taylorville, IL, to the late Mike and Bernadette (Songer) White. On June 10, 1961, he married Judith Ann Bland, and they spent many happy years together before she preceded him in death on February 28, 2018. William worked as a coalminer for Peabody Mine #10 before retiring.
William is survived by his son, Jeffery (Matthew) Lutton-White, his sister: Patricia Waterman, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, his son, James Michael White, two brothers, Arthur Gene White and Melvin "Chub" White, and his sister, Dorothy Cravero.
Per William's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and a graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery.
