Jonathan R. Warnock, 30, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 in Allen Park, Mich. Visitation will be Saturday June 8, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home in Coffeen, Ill. Funeral to begin at 11:00 a.m., also at Toberman-Dean Funeral Home Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg, Ill. Jonathan was born April 23, 1994 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Robert W. and Denise E. (Greenwood) Warnock. He graduated from Kennedy High School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and then Michigan State University in Lansing, Mich. In his youth he was active in Boy Scouts and Venture Crew. In 2008 he achieved his Eagle Scout Award by co-planning, organizing, and building a garage at Nixon Elementary School in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, with the help of another boy scout and many volunteers. He hiked and camped in the Minnesota Boundary Waters and participated in other High Adventures in Scouts, including Wilderness Survival Training in Wisconsin.
